Garrylucas beach live cam
Garrylucas Beach (White Strand) lies just next to the Old Head of Kinsale, about 40 km south of Cork. This Blue Flag beach has a good expanse of clean, white sand with some areas of grassy dunes. There are rocky cliffs on both sides of the beach.
The beach faces south-west, and it can be quite exposed to the elements. The bay gets some good waves and wind, so it is popular with kitesurfers, surfers and other water sports enthusiasts. Kitesurfing on this beach is good in wind direction ranging from south to west (although if the wind comes from south, local kitesurfers will usually prefer Harbour View / Coolmain beach which lies only about 5 km to the west). The presence of a lifeguard in the summer months (times displayed on notice boards at the beach) and the clean sand make this a popular destination for bathers in the summer months. The water quality here has been classified as excellent.
The beach is accessed via ramps and steps. Parking and toilet facilities are next to the beach.
Garretstown beach live cam
Garrettstown is a popular sandy beach. Despite this it still retains a rural feel and has not been over developed. It is a great family beach with all the facilities including a seasonal lifeguard service. It is also accessible with a ramp down to the beach.
This is one of the most popular surfing beaches in the area and is home to a surf school.
